How can we, as educators, prepare our young learners to navigate the opportunities and challenges that come with living in an information-rich and globally connected world? Teaching multiple literacies in the English language classroom helps students make sense of the world and prepares them to flourish in wider social and global contexts. 

This paper explores the benefits of integrating multiple literacies into English language instruction and provides practical suggestions for developing students’ multiple literacy skills, using examples from National Geographic Learning’s new Trailblazer program for young learners of English.
